If you’re looking to enhance your trading strategy, the Williams Thrust indicator could be just what you need. This powerful tool is based on two Williams' Percent Range (WPR) indicators, each with distinct periods, and calculates their average values to generate signals.

The indicator comes with five customizable inputs that you can tweak to fit your trading style:

  • First WPR Period - This is the initial calculation period for the first WPR;
  • First MA Period - The averaging period for the first WPR;
  • Second WPR Period - This is the calculation period for the second WPR;
  • Second MA Period - The averaging period for the second WPR;
  • MA Method - This defines how the averaging will be calculated.

Here’s how the calculations work:

  • If FirstWPR > FirstMA and SecondWPR > SecondMA, you get a Buy signal.

  • If FirstWPR < FirstMA and SecondWPR < SecondMA, that’s your cue for a Sell signal.

  • In all other cases, it shows a neutral value.

To break it down further, here’s what the calculations look like:

FirstWPR = WPR(First WPR Period)
SecondWPR = WPR(Second WPR Period)
FirstMA = MA(FirstWPR, First MA Period, MA Method)
SecondMA = MA(SecondWPR, Second MA Period, MA Method)
