Exciting news! You can now open multiple orders with varying lot sizes. All previous bugs have been fixed.
If you're looking to sharpen your trading skills using historical data, HistoryTrain is the program for you. It's a fun and insightful way to practice! To get started, run the training.exe application, open the Strategy Tester, and begin testing the attached Expert Advisor, HistoryTrain.mql. Remember to enable visual mode and adjust the scroll speed of the historical data as per your preference.
Before diving in, make sure to adjust your settings in the MetaTrader 4 platform:
- Enable DLL imports
- Allow live trading
Also, be sure to uncheck the following option:
- Confirm DLL function calls
In the application window, you’ll find three buttons: Buy, Sell, and Close. Keep an eye on the currency chart while executing trades on historical data, and don’t forget to monitor your profit chart as well!
To set everything up, unpack the archive to the root directory. You should find a folder named c:\HistTraining\ containing the following files:
- HistoryTrain.mql
- libSharedVarsDLLv2.def
- SharedVarsDLLv2.dll
- Training.exe
Finally, copy HistoryTrain.mql into your Experts Advisors folder, and you’re all set to start your historical trading journey!
