Hey fellow traders! Today, I want to dive into something that I think you'll find pretty intriguing—the Chaikin Volatility Stochastic Indicator. The brain behind this tool, Giaras, has taken the original Chaikin Volatility Index and given it a fresh twist by applying a stochastization process. Curious about the results? Let’s take a closer look!

While this modified version strays quite a bit from the original, it still packs a punch and offers some unique insights. Giaras felt it was worth sharing, and I couldn't agree more!

For those of you interested in the technical side, this indicator utilizes the SmoothAlgorithms.mqh library classes, which you’ll need to copy over to your terminal_data_folder/MQL5/Include directory. If you need a bit of guidance on using these classes, check out the detailed explanation in the article "Averaging Price Series for Intermediate Calculations Without Using Additional Buffers".

This nifty indicator was first launched in MQL4 and made its debut on Code Base at mql4.com back on June 14, 2016. It’s amazing to see how it has evolved!
