What’s it all about?
This simulator allows you to conduct virtual trades using historical data. This means you can test your manual strategies quickly and safely, assessing your potential for profit and loss.
Experience real “combat conditions” with the ability to fast-forward events or pause for decision-making and analysis.
Time to train, traders!
How to Use the Trading Simulator:
First, place the expert advisor in the Experts folder (C:\Program Files\...\experts).
Next, launch it in the strategy tester with visualization enabled. You'll see text labels at the bottom of the window that control your trades.
To buy, simply double-click on the label that says Buy, drag it a little from the bottom edge of the window, and then release.
The label will change color, and a new order will open with preset values for Lot, Profit, and Stop-loss.
Near the label, you’ll find the current profit/loss for that order.
To close an order, simply drag the corresponding label back to the bottom edge of the window. You can also adjust Lot, Profit, and Stop-loss values by double-clicking on the label to bring up the menu.
In the top corner of the window, you'll see your balance and overall profit.
You can open two opposite orders simultaneously, known as a lock.
Plus, there’s an option to close a part of a position!
Here’s how:
- Pause the tester.
- Change the Lot value to the amount you want to close.
- Drag the order label (either Buy or Sell) to the bottom of the window.
- Resume the tester from pause.
Your specified portion of the order will be closed, while the remainder stays open, and the label will return to its active position at the top.
This expert advisor operates similarly to my other indicator, the TAACH_Chanels.
