Hey traders! Today, we're diving into the Speed and Acceleration indicator using the Hull Moving Average (HMA) in MetaTrader 4. While the code might not be perfectly optimized, it’s pretty straightforward once you get the hang of the variable names.
You have the option to enable or disable the Hull Method, which allows you to visualize the raw values for speed and acceleration on your charts. This can give you some great insights into market movements!
Additionally, you can plot these values in Absolute Values, meaning everything will appear above zero. This can help you gauge the strength of the trends more clearly.
If you’re looking to experiment with a usable oscillator, I recommend setting your average period (AVG_PERIOD) to the square of the period (PERIOD * PERIOD). It’s a neat trick that can yield interesting results!
Just a heads-up, a bug related to calculation cycles was fixed on September 6, 2022, so make sure you’re using the latest version for the best performance!
